2025 Shining Knight Gala - Kyjeir Betts' Story
On November 11, 2022, 15-year-old Kyjeir “Ky” Betts was severely injured in a car crash while spending time with friends. The VCU Health Trauma Team, along with local first responders and the LifeEvac helicopter transportation team, stabilized Ky after the crash and helped him get back to his life as an active high schooler.
