Rao R. Ivatury Trauma Symposium Call for Abstracts — 2021

Submission Overview

Abstract submission from all disciplines involved in trauma care are encouraged, including physicians, nursing staff, and pre-hospital providers. Original research and quality/performance improvement projects are eligible for submission.

  • Specs for presentations: Each “poster” must be 10 MB or less and in one of the following formats: PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, iCalendar, text, or images (.bmp, .gif. jpg, .tiff, .png, .ai, and .eps).
  • Short, specific title (no abbreviations) that indicates the nature of the project.
  • 300 words maximum — No references, tables, or figures.
  • For original research, include background, study methodology, results, and conclusion.
  • For QI/performance improvement projects, include purpose, theoretical or conceptual framework, instruments and data analysis, major findings, and implications of the results.

Submission Deadline for Abstracts: May 28, 2021

Notification of oral and posters winners: Week of May 31, 2021

Final abstract for presentation deadline: June 18, 2021

  • The presenting author should be listed first in the order of authors. All communications will be directed to the presenting author only.
  • An individual may submit more than one abstract.
  • All abstract and presentation content must be in compliance with copyright laws.
  • The recommended format for abstract submission includes a clearly stated introduction, methods, results and conclusions.
  • Poster presenters are expected to be registered participants of the symposium. Standard registration fees apply.
