A New Era in Transplant Technology
VCU Hume-Lee Transplant Center's rich and innovative history began in 1957, when the Medical College of Virginia initiated a transplant program – one of only three in the country at the time. Today, we are one of the busiest transplant programs in the nation, known for superior patient outcomes that are made possible by our top-tier transplant physicians and surgeons, our dedicated laboratories and our award winning nursing staff. For more than 60 years, we are proud to be first in second chances for organ transplant patients.
