Getting Better Together: Postpartum Virtual Support Group for Moms provides peer support for moms who may be experiencing depression or anxiety during their transition to motherhood. About 15% to 20% of all women experience some form of pregnancy-related depression or anxiety. If this happens to you, it is important to know that you are not alone, and that we are here to help.
Getting Better Together virtual support groups are facilitated by VCU Health and VCU team members. To protect the privacy of other group members, we ask that family and friends not attend the group. We encourage you to take this time for yourself. You deserve it!
Virtual support groups are new for all of us! We encourage you to join with video, but you are welcome to join with just audio (you will be able to speak and listen, but we will not be able to see you). If possible, have someone else care for your children during our virtual group. However, you will not be turned away if you do not have childcare during group. Babies on your lap are welcome. If you have further questions, please call (804) 828-3423. to leave a message, including your phone number, and one of our team members will return your call.
