Where you get your medication matters. When you use a VCU Health pharmacy, you get personalized care from our pharmacy staff and plenty of extra benefits.
VCU Health retail pharmacies offer prescriptions, prescription refills, vaccinations and over-the-counter medications. For more complicated prescriptions, our Specialty Pharmacy is staffed by experts dedicated to giving you the best care with education, support and financial assistance
Locations across the Richmond region
We have multiple pharmacy locations, so you can choose the most convenient place to pick up your prescription. Our pharmacy locations are:
- Adult Outpatient Pavilion, 1st Floor
- Ambulatory Care Center, 1st Floor
- Children's Hospital of Richmond (CHoR), Ground Floor
- Hope Pharmacy, inside The Market at 25th Street
- Short Pump Pavilion, 2nd Floor
- South Richmond Pharmacy at Hayes E. Willis Health Center
- Specialty Pharmacy
- Stony Point Pharmacy, at Stony Point 9000
Fast service and same-day fulfillment
Your VCU Health provider can easily communicate with our pharmacies, which means you get your medication faster. Many of our locations can fill your prescriptions during or right after your appointment, so you don’t have to wait or make an extra stop.
Free home delivery
If you can’t pick up your prescriptions in person, let us come to you. We can deliver most medications to your home, workplace, doctor's office or any other location in Virginia at no extra cost. This service is available at all our pharmacy locations. You can request home delivery using your MyChart account.
Prescription management with MyChart
You don’t have to call or visit us to request a refill or see when your prescription is ready. You can use your MyChart account to check your prescription status and request refills from your VCU Health pharmacy. We communicate directly with your provider to handle everything else.
Available to everyone
You can use one of our pharmacies even if you are not currently a VCU Health patient. Just ask your provider to send your prescription to a VCU Health pharmacy location or call your current pharmacy to request a transfer.
Specialty Pharmacy
Our Specialty Pharmacy offers medications that aren’t always available at other pharmacies. We provide personalized service, including teaching you about your medication and making monthly outreach calls to make sure your prescription is working for you. We can also help you pay for your medication with insurance support and copay assistance. The specialty pharmacy is accredited by URAC and ACHC and has the Distinction in Oncology from ACHC.
