Mohs micrographic surgery
Dermatologists at VCU Health perform Mohs micrographic surgery, the most effective and advanced treatment for skin cancer today. In fact, VCU Health was home to one of the first Mohs surgery centers in central Virginia.
Our dermatologic surgeons use precise techniques to remove skin cancer while protecting as much healthy skin as possible. Because of its accuracy, we often use Mohs surgery for cancers on the face, head and other sensitive areas.
