Inpatient dermatology consultations 

If you are staying in the hospital for another health issue, we can still help you with skin problems. We can come to your room to look at skin concerns, like a rash, infection or reaction to medication. 

Why you may need an inpatient dermatology consultation 

During your hospital stay, your doctor may notice a skin issue. Or you may point out something new or worrying. If needed, ask your doctor to request a dermatology consult. A member of our team is happy to see you during your hospital stay.  

Our inpatient dermatologists help care for patients in the hospital who have skin problems. These may include reactions to medicines, ulcers, new rashes or other skin conditions that appear or worsen during treatment. We work closely with your inpatient team to help you feel better.
