Getting Better Together

Postpartum Support Group for Moms

Getting Better Together: Postpartum Support Group for Moms provides peer support for moms who may be experiencing depression or anxiety during their transition to motherhood. Approximately 15 to 20 percent of all women experience some form of pregnancy-related depression or anxiety. If this happens to you, it is important to know that you are not alone, and that VCU Health and Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU are here to help.

Getting Better Together support groups are facilitated by VCU Health and VCU team members.  Because we provide healthy refreshments and childcare for older siblings, we ask that you please register. To protect the privacy of other group members, we ask that family and friends not attend the group.

Getting Better Together Support groups are postponed until further notice due to the coronavirus situation. Please consider one of the following resources to support you at this time:

Visit Postpartum Support Virginia Mom’s On Call program or call (703) 829-7152.
