VCU Health names new AVP of ambulatory access and innovation

Brittany Poore, DNP, MHA, RN, NEA-BC, is the new associate vice president (AVP) of ambulatory access and innovation for VCU Health. Poore is a seasoned executive leader who served in the role temporarily and was promoted to the position on Dec. 21, 2025.
In this role, Poore will ensure the successful execution of ambulatory access strategy and innovation, developing business plans and infrastructure necessary to ensure clinic operations function in an optimal manner. She will develop first-in-class, patient-responsive services that are aligned with VCU Health’s quality, safety, access and growth goals while establishing positive relationships with leaders throughout the organization.

Poore has been with VCU Health since 2019, serving in leadership roles across ambulatory and nursing, including director of nursing for VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center. Prior to joining VCU Health, she held a series of leadership roles at Bon Secours Health System.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Virginia, her Master of Healthcare Administration from Walden University and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Baylor University.
