What is onco-nephrology?
Onco-nephrology is a specialized field of medicine focused on caring for patients with kidney complications related to cancer or cancer treatments. Cancer and its therapies can affect kidney function in many ways, including changes in blood pressure, electrolyte balance, kidney inflammation, glomerular diseases and chronic kidney disease.
The onco-nephrology clinic provides specialized kidney care for patients with cancer before, during, and after cancer treatment. Our goal is to help patients maintain kidney health while supporting safe and effective cancer care.

Cancer care is complex and often requires close coordination among multiple specialists. The onco-nephrology clinic works collaboratively with hematologists, oncologists, stem cell transplant specialists, pharmacists, dialysis teams, nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care.
We believe that managing kidney complications in cancer patients requires an individualized and multidisciplinary approach.
