This is the first time I have sat in a providers office and cried. When I described my frustration with my current symptoms her response was to ask about my dosage of anti-depressant. I was dismissed and condescended to. When I asked if we were waiting for me to gain a certain amount of weight before having additional discussions, she informed me my BMI already pushes me into the overweight category with an extremely condescending tone and essentially informed me that this is a me problem. Her tone and dismissiveness was appalling. She never even asked me If I had any additional medical concerns (which I did), she simply left the room. This was supposed to be a new patient appointment and I will never return to this provider.

Doctors should be allowed to spend at least 30 minutes per patient without spending time explaining why more than 20 minutes is needed. This is especially grating when patients arrive thoroughly prepped with written questions and solutions and we still don't cover every concern we have. [...]

I have an undiagnosed complex multi-system disorder that started while living overseas. It has an extensive work-up that has baffled several doctors. I needed a practitioner that (a) recognized the seriousness of the issue and (b) listened to me rather than think they had figured it out in 5 minute; and (c) treated me as a partner in my own health. I am very happy with this provider.
