Biography

Dr. Zhao has been on VCU faculty since 2003. His research interest is in the areas of chronic urticaria, mast cell biology, IgE and non-IgE mediated anaphylaxis, and mechanism of drug and food desensitization. He is on two editorial boards of Journals in the field of Immunology and Pediatrics. He served on as President of Virginia Society of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology (2012-2014). He has been named Top Doc by Richmond Magazine since 2012.
