VCU School of Dentistry faculty and alumni make an impact in Richmond Magazine’s Top Dentists

Each year, Richmond Magazine recognizes the most impactful and influential dentists in the Richmond area with their annual Top Dentists list. And every year, our faculty and alumni continue to shine.
This annual list recognizes the region’s most outstanding dental professionals in several different categories. The winners are selected by their peers in a survey for their commitment to patient care, outstanding reputation, and leadership within their respective fields.
“Being named among Richmond Magazine's Top Dentists is a testament not only to exceptional clinical expertise but also to a commitment to transforming lives through compassionate, patient-centered care,” said Jeff Johnson, D.M.D., MPH, Ed.D., interim dean of Virginia Commonwealth University's School of Dentistry. “We are proud to celebrate our faculty and alums, whose dedication continues to elevate oral health and improve the well-being of individuals, families, and communities across the greater Richmond area and throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia.”
This year, six faculty members were included on the list. Among them is Sarah Glass, D.D.S., who has been featured on the list five years in a row. Glass serves as interim chair of Oral Diagnostic Sciences and her outstanding contribution to oral cancer research and treatment makes her stand out amongst her peers, and is a great source of pride for the VCU School of Dentistry community. The Oral Diagnostic Sciences department received an incredible five recognitions overall.
“I am truly honored to be recognized, and what makes this recognition especially meaningful is what it represents: the incredible work being done every day at VCU School of Dentistry and within the Department of Oral Diagnostic Sciences,” Glass said. “As interim chair of ODS, I am incredibly proud of the dedication and expertise of our department and grateful to be part of a team that makes such a meaningful impact.”
