3 reasons to participate in the 2022 Richmond Heart Walk

The Richmond Heart Walk has always been a terrific way to get moving, socialize with friends and family, and boost your heart health. But it's so much more than a walk! Joining Heart Walk helps raise awareness to help fight heart disease and fund the next heart and stroke medical breakthrough. Here are three reasons to become a champion for health and ensure everyone has access to quality health care.

It's free

That’s right! There is NO registration fee. Instead, participants are encouraged to fundraise, making their impact limitless. Plus, there’s no minimum or maximum to how much you can raise! Not sure where to start? Every participant can make a difference by asking friends and family for donations and making a personal donation.

It's one of the most important things you can do for yourself and others

The Richmond Heart Walk has always been about coming together, getting hearts pumping, honoring survivors, and raising lifesaving funds. Your donations helps save the lives of kids born with congenital heart defects and adults struggling with heart disease. Help us and VCU Health Pauley Heart Center advocate for heart disease and greater heart care.

You can walk anywhere

Not ready to venture out to the Heart Walk, but you still want to participate? There are options for you too – just walk where you are most comfortable! Pick a location that inspires you or stroll through your neighborhood. The American Heart Association has some digital options to stay connected on Walk Day, and VCU Health Pauley Heart Center has an eclectic Heart Walk playlist to help you get up and get moving.

Join us and VCU Health Pauley Heart Center in person or virtually on Saturday, Oct. 22, at Libbie Mill Midtown. Check-in: 8:30 a.m. | Walk begins: 9 a.m. To register or to donate, visit: https://bit.ly/3e6IcDm
