Dr. Takisha Robinson is a board-certified family medicine and obesity medicine physician who believes in meeting patients where they are — with compassion, respect and partnership. A Richmond, Virginia native, Dr. Robinson returned home after completing her medical training at the University of Virginia and family medicine residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School. She has a special interest in preventive health, addressing health disparities and supporting cancer survivors through every stage of care.
Driven by curiosity, a love for solving problems, and deep empathy, Dr. Robinson has built a career centered around helping people feel seen, heard and supported. “I love laughing with my patients,” she says, “and being there to hold their hands through the tearful moments — and to celebrate all the small and big accomplishments.” To her, medicine isn’t just a job; it’s a privilege to walk alongside each person on their path to better health.
Patients appreciate her thoughtful approach and her ability to explain things in a way that feels both empowering and easy to understand. Whether in the office or through virtual visits, she brings warmth, honesty and a commitment to high-quality care.
Outside the exam room, Dr. Robinson recharges by jogging and traveling. She also loves hosting gatherings for loved ones, listening to live music and finding joy in life’s simple moments.
