Dr. Gharbo is an excellent provider. He is thoughtful, honest, attentive and personable. I have him and the specialists he collaborates with at VCU Health to thank for significant progress in stabilizing my health and creating healthier lifestyle routines that support my physical and emotional health. I greatly appreciate this approach to medicine and patient care. I also appreciate that he can have moments of gentle humor, it never feels condescending or like he doesn't take me seriously. Rather, it feels like he never wants you to leave on a down note and despite everything I have gone through with my health, I have never left any appointment with him feeling hopeless or like I am not supported.

My initial visit with Dr Gharbo was an amazing experience. He showed kindness, compassion, knowledge and a path forward. I have never had a medical doctor spend so much time with me. I walked out of his office feeling a sense of hope. He also ordered blood work and I was informed of my results and his recommendations in less than 24 hours!

I'm very surprised and amazed at the approach Dr Gharbo takes to provide treatment. I finally feel that there is hope for me and my [...] that I have had for 6 years. This was only my second visit with him. He has me using technology (Fitbit) to track HRV which will hopefully help me detect when I have days that I need to be careful so I won't pass out. I was also amazed with the breathing techniques he has told me to do. I honestly was skeptical that these things would actually be beneficial to me BUT they definitely are. I appreciate Dr Gharbo's attention, approach and treatment plan.
