Biography

A Pennsylvania native, Dr. Denlinger joined the MCV Campus faculty in 1995 and is an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine/Cardiology. She is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiology and echocardiography. In addition to serving as cardiology staff physician at McGuire Veterans Administration Medical Center, Dr. Denlinger is Medical Director of the Cardiology Lab at Community Memorial Hospital in South Hill, Va.

A fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Dr. Denlinger is also a member of such noteworthy societies as the American College of Physicians, the American Heart Association, the American Medical Women’s Association and the Mennonite Medical Association. She has lectured on various cardiology issues throughout the Richmond community to outreach programs, the McGuire VA Medical Grand Rounds, local media and other community and medical settings.

Dr. Denlinger’s early research has focused on dobutamine stress echocardiography, particularly in heart transplant patients. She has been published in the professional journal Chest and has presented a number of abstracts at national and state meetings of the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Denlinger has served as reviewer for Chest and as question writer and reviewer for the American Board of Internal Medicine.
