Event Details
Life comes at you in an instant, and the journey from burn victim to empowered burn survivor can be a long and challenging one. It is sustained by hope, conviction, and unparalleled courage. Burn Survivor Sunday is a time to gather to honor and celebrate the bravery and strength of burn survivors and their loved ones who are integral during their journey to recovery.
Burn Survivor Sunday is an annual event to reunite former patients, their friends and families, the burn center staff who cared for them, and area first responders and firefighters. We focus on outreach, fellowship, and the opportunity to meet other extraordinary individuals to exchange support, share experiences, and celebrate life in the spirit of togetherness.
This day is designed to further inspire and support survivors and their loved ones through facilitated group discussions on common topics impacting burn recovery followed by the informal sharing of personal stories of achievement. Children of guests are welcome to participate in arts and crafts nearby with burn staff. Burn Survivor Sunday is also an opportunity for guests to network with others to reconnect and discover available resources.
You are the reason we celebrate!
