In-Person Event

Event Details

How do clinical trials improve medicine and care for people? Clinical trials are research studies that are used to improve prevention, diagnosis and treatment in health care. Join us for Clinical Trials 101 on Tuesday, Oct. 20 from noon - 1 p.m. on Zoom to learn more about how clinical trials and medical research happens.

Debbie Cadet, Ph.D., Program Manager for Community Health Education and Research at Massey Cancer Center will discuss the basics of clinical trials and research, protections that are in place and why research is so important to healthcare. Resources for participating in research will be shared.

Clinical Trials 101 is free and open to all. Registration is required. Registrants will receive a Zoom link to the program on the day of the event. This program is brought to you by the C. Kenneth and Dianne Wright Center for Clinical and Translational Research and VCU Medical Center Health and Wellness Library.

To register for this program visit our libraries registration page.
