I've seen Dermatologists before and usually I have a thorough evaluation due to my fair skin, freckles, and moles. She looked at my body for <1 minute.

Provider was incredibly friendly. I struggled with the pace she moved at - the exam started while we were still talking. I didn't know where she was going to start the exam, or how it would proceed. Suddenly she would combing through my hair. It felt abrupt, a bit confusing, and fast paced.

Wow ! This was my first visit w Dr Lamb ( my previous dermatologists are retired or have left the practice) and I couldn't be more pleased . She clearly had read my chart ahead of time , listened very carefully to additional info I gave her snd went out of her way to inform me that if I wanted genetic testing for my strong history of familial melanoma she could help get me referred for this . I declined but felt very impressed and respected that she spent so much time educating me on this matter . Her actual body check for suspicious skin growths was also very thorough and gentle . . I'm thrilled that I'll be her patient for yearly skin checks complete confidence in this doc !
