Biography
Dr. George Eapen is Director of Echocardiography at VCU Health Colonial Square. As an interventional cardiologist, Dr. Eapen can both diagnose and treat coronary artery disease, including blockages of severely calcified coronary arteries. Dr. Eapen also is an expert in echocardiography (ECG/EKG), which uses high-frequency sound waves to provide images of your heart to allow him and other specialists to see the anatomy, structure, function and blood vessels, which may identify abnormalities. Practicing medicine for nearly five decades, Dr. Eapen is board-certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease (cardiology), and internal medicine.
