Biography
Dr. Marcello returned to Richmond to join the VCU faculty in 2015. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Society of Hospital Medicine and a founding member of the Society for Pediatric Sedation. His past positions include Director of Pediatric Inpatient Services at Saint Mary's Hospital in Waterbury CT, hospitalist at Connecticut Children's Medical Center (CCMC) and Director of Sedation Services at CCMC.

- Martin Hoffman Memorial Award (1992) and Chief Resident's Award (1993), Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine
- Resident Teaching Award, Connecticut Children's Medical Center at University of Connecticut Medical School (2005 and 2015)
