See how to get the most out of your patient portal.

  • View and request appointments

    After you’ve logged into My VCU Health Patient portal, go to the left side navigation and click ‘Appointments’ to expand the menu.

    To see appointments that have been scheduled, click on ‘View Upcoming Appointments’.

    To request an appointment, click on ‘Schedule a New Appointment’ and follow these steps:

    • Select the reason for your visit from the ‘Request an Appointment’ drop down menu.
    • Provide information about the request including preferred provider, time, date and preferred method of contact (fields with a red asterisk are required).
    • Click the ‘Send Request’ button to submit your request.
    • You can expect a response to your appointment request within 3 business days.

  • Send a secure message to your doctor

    After you’ve logged into My VCU Health Patient portal, go to the left side navigation and click ‘Send a Message.’

    On the ‘New Message’ screen, follow these steps:

    • Select the person who is sending the message from the ‘This message is sent on behalf of’ drop down menu.
    • Select the recipient of the message from the ‘To’ drop down menu.
    • Enter your message in the Message field. You may also attach files less than 25MB in size to your message.
    • Click the ‘Send’ button to send your request.
    • You can expect a response to your appointment request within 1 business day.

  • Request a prescription refill

    After you’ve logged into My VCU Health Patient portal, go to the left side navigation and click ‘Prescription Renewal.’

    • Select the prescribing provider from the drop down menu.
    • Select the medication(s) you would like to renew and where the prescription should be sent.
    • Click the ‘Send Request’ button to submit your request.
    • You can expect a response to your request within 1 business day.

  • View your medications, immunizations, lab results and more

    After you’ve logged into My VCU Health Patient portal, go to the left side navigation and click ‘Medical Record’ to expand the menu.

    To see a list of your current medications and known allergies, click on ‘My Health Information’.

    To see a list of immunizations you have received, click on ‘Immunization History’.

    To see a list of your recent visits and lab results, click on ‘Visits/Lab Results’.
