VCU Health is a comprehensive system of care and pioneer of health. From our very first years to our most recent advancements, we are driven to learn more, dig deeper, teach passionately and never rest in order to be a true leader in discovering what’s possible in health and recovery.

Diana Stokes, RN, graduated from Old Dominion University with bachelor's degrees in nursing and psychology and a master's degree of science in nursing. As a new graduate, she started working nights at VCUHS. She quickly became involved in several hospital initiatives while also earning certification as a progressive care nurse and advancing the clinical ladder to Clinical Nurse III. After four years, she switched to her current role providing leadership support for clinical staff.

We have it all. Five schools, hospitals, a community health center, convenient outpatient locations, dedicated research teams, and facilities and valued partners in every field. We have more than 750 physicians in 200 specialties, the area’s only NCI-designated cancer center, VCU Massey Cancer Center, and a full-service children’s hospital, Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU.

Together through our VCU Medical Center, Community Memorial Hospital in South Hill and Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU, we:

  • Served almost 112,000 people in our emergency departments
  • Admitted nearly 50,000 to our inpatient and observation beds
  • Took care of more than 640,000 in our outpatient clinics
  • Advanced the learning of more than 5,000 health science students across all disciplines

With our leading-edge technology, unparalleled problem-solving and legacy of academically driven excellence, we’re leading what’s possible in your health, recovery and life.

And because we are an diverse organization and are proud of our many programs that elevate inclusion, respect and diversity, we encourage applicants to voluntarily self-identify if they have disabilities. The video produced by the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Program (OFCCP), Disability Inclusion Starts With You, explains the key role that self-identification plays in helping employers offer equal employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

Consider joining our team of talented professionals by applying online. You'll be so glad you did.

“I hope you enjoy learning more about VCUHS. This is one awesome place to work and we are committed to making Richmond an even greater place to live.”
