VCU Health’s Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism provides a complete range of state of the art services for patients with metabolic and hormonal disorders and was ranked as “High Performing” in Diabetes & Metabolism care in 2012 by US News and World Report. In 2016 the division opened one of the nation’s only, metabolic chambers, a chamber for the measurement and assessment of human metabolism to better understand disease processes.

Teaching and research serve as the background for the care the Division provides. Our faculty participate in the teaching of medical students, residents in Internal Medicine and Fellows in Endocrinology & Metabolism. The Division is active in research and clinical trials including diabetes, osteoporosis, polycystic ovary syndrome and obesity.
