Keeping cancer patients moving and thriving

The reality of cancer is that your life doesn’t stop when a diagnosis occurs – and neither should your body or mind. Rehabilitation therapy is useful and necessary at any stage of your treatment, long into survivorship. Working with our partners at the VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center, we treat patients living with or recovering from all forms of cancer.

How cancer rehabilitation works

Rehabilitation for cancer is approached differently than a bone or brain injury. Our specialists – physical, occupational and speech professionals – are embedded in our cancer clinics. We interact in real-time with physicians, nurses, radiologists and other allied health professionals, creating a custom, interdisciplinary care plan for each patient.

We see all types of cancer patients at all stages. Through therapy that focuses on improving function, fatigue, mind and mood, the majority of cancer patients can survive long after treatment is complete.
