Community Out-Reach Education
Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) is all about improving patient outcomes and speeding up recovery following surgery. Having an operation can be both physically and emotionally stressful. After hip and knee replacement, the enhanced recovery program at VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital helps to make sure patients receive the right education before surgery while getting them up and moving shortly after their operation so that they can retain their independence and recover more quickly.
