Need help

Capitol Square Healthcare for State Employees

Welcome

Whether you want a primary source of health care or have a last-minute health concern — we can help. Capitol Square Healthcare offers affordable, preventive, primary and acute care services for state employees, covered spouses and covered children ages 2 and older.

Not only are we right around the corner from many state offices, but we offer great health care at a discount – only a $15 co-pay – for employees covered by Virginia’s two primary health insurance plans. (If you’re covered by another state plan, don’t worry: you’ll still get affordable quality care.)

Our clinical team can get you in and out of most appointments in less than 30 minutes. That minimizes your time away from work since you don’t need to leave downtown. If your treatment plan includes a prescription, you can pick up many medications right in our office – saving you even more time and getting you feeling healthy again quickly. Watch our video below to get an inside look of our clinic.

Call us at 1-844-342-1791 between 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to make an appointment.

Patient-Centered Care

The Capitol Square Healthcare team includes a physician, nurse practitioner, nurses, a health coach and an on-site lab.

Our focus is primary care. We offer emergent care for patients with regular community providers and primary treatment for those without regular providers. We’re also a convenient resource for managing chronic conditions, including high blood pressure and diabetes checks. If you need to see a specialist, we can make a referral.

Helping employees take care of themselves when even a minor issue arises can save medical costs in the long run. We fill an important need downtown, and our patients give us a 98 percent approval rating.

We make healthy choices accessible

Because we serve about 11,000 state employees in Downtown Richmond, we make sure that prevention is a big part of our mission. We offer educational and outreach efforts that promote healthy choices and keep health care accessible. For example, we offer special sessions where you can get your annual flu shot. Currently, walk in's are welcome! Flu shots are available every day (no appointment necessary) and are 100% covered by most state insurance plans.

Our on-site health coach can provide one-on-one counseling to help you reach your health goals. Whether you’re looking to eat better, lose weight, quit smoking, get in shape or manage stress, our health coach can help you make changes that last.
