Dan Carrigan, Manager of Transplant PR, Marketing and Strategy

Dan Carrigan serves as Hume-Lee’s first manager of transplant communications. In his role, he oversees all facets of internal and external communications for the transplant center – including PR, marketing and internal communications. Dan joined Hume-Lee in 2018. In a prior role, he was a member of WellSpan Health’s media relations and communications team in his home state of Pennsylvania. His work included serving as a public information officer for two hospitals. He arrived at WellSpan following a stint at the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, his first public relations and communications role following six years as a broadcast television reporter and anchor in Hazleton, Penn.; Atlantic City, N.J.; and Harrisburg, Penn.

Dan often says he’s passionate about his “family, transplant patients and transplant team members.” Humbled to play a role supporting Hume-Lee, Dan’s passion stems from a close family member receiving a liver transplant in 2017.

Dan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania and is pursuing a Master of Science degree in Integrated Communications at VCU’s Richard T. Robertson School of Media and Culture.

He currently lives in Chesterfield, Va., with his wife, Lindsey.
