Biography
Dr. Russell Moores, Professor of Pediatrics, is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics - Section on Neonatal Perinatal Medicine and Eastern Society of Pediatric Research.
Dr. Moores is Medical Director of the CHOR level IV Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Medical Director of the Neonatal ECMO Program. He is the Chair of the NICU Quality Improvement Committee as well as several QI committees related to neonatal services at the VCUHS. Dr. Moores joined the faculty at VCU in 2009 after spending 26 years in the US Army Medical Corps and rising to the rank of Colonel.
Dr. Moores has a strong interest in medical education and is a core educator for the Department of Pediatrics and a founding member of the Pediatric Fellowship Oversight Committee.
