Biography

Dr. Russo-Menna joined the VCU faculty in fall 2001. She is an anesthesiologist, pediatric fellow trained at UPMC, providing anesthesia for pediatric surgical services. Research interests include anesthesia toxicity and promoting balance technique anesthetic especially for children with obstructive sleep apnea. Dr. Russo-Menna is a graduate of La Sapienza Medical School of Rome, Italy, and trained as anesthesiologist at New York University, NY, NY. She is bilingual in English and Italian. She earned a Master in Education at VCU in 2008, and her great interests are resident education, simulation and neonatal resuscitation program. Dr. Russo-Menna is a member of the American Society of Anesthesia, Society of Pediatric Anesthesia, Society of Education of Anesthesia and European Society of Anesthesia.
