Reproductive Endocrinology and Fertility
The Section of Reproductive Endocrinolgy and Fertility features two board
certified reproductive endocrinologists. They both have special training
in a number of diseases and conditions. Services this division provides
are:
- Anovulation (women not releasing an egg each month)
- Polycystic ovary disease
- Menopause
- Hormone replacement therapy
- Infertility work-up and treatment
- Endometriosis
- Recurrent pregnancy loss
- Irregular menstrual bleeding
- Hyperprolactinemia
- Hirsutism
- Ectopic pregnancy
- Contraception
Infertility treatments include:
- Oocyte retrieval
- IVF with embryo transfer
- Advanced laparoscopy
- Hysterectomy
- Transvaginal ultrasonography

Emotional support, counseling, and education reproductive issues are
paort of the comprehensive care offered through the VCU Health System
Reproductive Endocrinology program. We provide in-vitro fertilization
and assisted reproductive technologies in addition to the emotional support
couples experiencing fertility problems may need as we work to create
an individualized program of treatment.
