Our Accreditation
The VCU Medical Center is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, and is granted licenses by the Commonwealth of Virginia Departments of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services Board, and Interdepartmental Regulations of Residential Facilities for Children to operate and maintain the Inpatient and Outpatient treatment programs of Virginia Treatment Center for Children.
Our Facility
VTCC is located on the campus of the VCU Medical Center in downtown Richmond at 515 North 10th Street. The facility includes a 23 bed acute care unit, an outpatient clinic, an 11 classroom school building, an occupational therapy clinic, family visitation lounges, cafeteria, an outdoor pool, a gymnasium, greenhouse, group, art and music therapy areas.
Community Organizations Affiliated with VTCC
The VTCC Advisory Council is volunteer council, comprised of a group of concerned citizens, who work to enhance the mission of Virginia Treatment Center for Children. The council is a separate not-for-profit organization. Activities conducted by the Advisory Council include community seminars, health fairs, and special event fund-raisers.
