The VCU Medical Center is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, and is granted licenses by the Commonwealth of Virginia Departments of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services Board, and Interdepartmental Regulations of Residential Facilities for Children to operate and maintain
the Acute, Residential, Day, and Outpatient programs of Virginia Treatment Center for Children.

Our Facility
VTCC is located on the campus of the VCU Medical Center in downtown Richmond at 515 North 10th Street. The facility includes an 18 bed acute care unit, a 20 bed residential treatment program, a day treatment program area, an outpatient clinic, an 11 classroom school building, an occupational therapy shop, family visitation lounges, cafeteria, an outdoor pool, an exercise track, gymnasium, greenhouse, group, art and music therapy areas.
