Pedestrian injury is the second leading cause of unintentional injury-related death among children ages five to 14. We recognize the importance of children and adults engaging in healthy lifestyle activities such as walking, but it is critical for everyone to practice safety while doing so.

International Walk to School Day:
Oct. 5, 2012

Please join Safe Kids members, children, parents and teachers from around the world on Oct. 5, 2012, and participate in a SAFE KIDS Walk This Way program in your community. Children will learn to protect themselves as pedestrians while having fun.

Visit the websites below for more information on child safety, biking and walking for health and fun.
