Human Leukocyte Antigen Laboratory

The laboratory staff performs antigen typing (genetic markers) on the white blood cells. The testing is used to provide compatibility typing for all of our potential donors and recipients of solid organ transplants. The laboratory staff also performs antibody monitoring on patients while on the transplant list or as indicated by the transplant team. The laboratory is under the direction of Pamela Kimball, PhD .
