North 9 Vascular Surgery is a 20-bed surgical unit with four step-down beds that specializes in the care of the vascular populations in both the pre- and post-operative phase of their hospitalization. Adolescent, adult and geriatric patients weighing more than 30kgs are eligible for admission to the unit.
The vascular surgery procedures may include:
- carotid endarterectomy,
- abdominal aneurysm repair,
- lower extremity revascularization,
- amputation,
- wound debridement,
- vascular trauma and
- arteriovenous fistula thrombectomy and placement.
