Vascular Surgery

North 9 Vascular Surgery is a 20-bed surgical unit with four step-down beds that specializes in the care of the vascular populations in both the pre- and post-operative phase of their hospitalization. Adolescent, adult and geriatric patients weighing more than 30kgs are eligible for admission to the unit.

The vascular surgery procedures may include:

  • carotid endarterectomy,
  • abdominal aneurysm repair,
  • lower extremity revascularization,
  • amputation,
  • wound debridement,
  • vascular trauma and
  • arteriovenous fistula thrombectomy and placement.
