Acute Care Surgery

Acute Care Surgery is a 28-bed surgical unit with 14 Progressive Care beds that specializes in the care of the vascular, plastics, urology and general surgery patient populations in both the pre and post-operative phase of their hospitalization. Adolescent, adult and geriatric patients weighing more than 30kgs are eligible for admission to the unit.

The Acute Care Surgery unit consists of all private rooms, two negative pressure rooms and two "warm" rooms in which room temperature can be maintained at or above 80 degrees Fahrenheit for medical purposes.
