Vascular is a 20-bed surgical unit (with four step-down beds) that specializes in the care of the vascular populations in both the pre- and postoperative phase of their hospitalization. Adolescent, adult and geriatric patients weighing more than 30kgs are eligible for admission to the unit.
The vascular surgery may include the following procedures:
- carotid endarterectomy
- abdominal aneurysm repair
- lower extremity revascularization
- amputation
- wound debridement
- vascular trauma
- arteriovenous fistula thrombectomy and placement
