Palliative Care

An 11-bed inpatient unit specifically prepared to provide palliative care (pain and symptom management) to patients with life-limiting illnesses.

Patients with many different conditions benefit from our care.
Illnesses we treat include:

  • cancer,
  • sickle cell disease,
  • organ failure (respiratory, heart, liver, kidney),
  • transplant failure,
  • AIDS,
  • trauma and
  • stroke.

Patient ages range from adolescents through adulthood. An interdisciplinary team approach focuses on the prevention and relief of suffering and providing the best quality of life for patients and their families.
