The VCU Massey Cancer Center provides state-of-the-art cancer care at five sites (South Hill, Kilmarnock, Farmville, Emporia and Grundy) in Central and Southwest Virginia that have limited resources and access to oncology care. The program is a conduit to bring both prevention and therapeutic clinical trials to the rural populations of these communities. The Massey Cancer Center-based teams of medical oncologists, nurse practitioners and radiation oncologists visit all sites on a regular basis with the exception of Grundy.
