Medical Respiratory ICU

The Medical Respiratory Intensive Care Unit is a 12-bed unit specializing in the care of critically ill adult patients with non-surgical respiratory and/or medical disease.

Primary admission diagnoses include, but not limited to:

  • GI bleed,
  • respiratory failure,
  • drug overdose,
  • sepsis,
  • multi-system failure,
  • post-cardiopulmonary arrest,
  • serious acid base and electrolyte disturbances,
  • diabetic keto-acidosis and
  • significant acute compromise of kidney or liver failure.
