The General Clinical Research Center is a self-contained outpatient, inpatient research facility federally funded by the National Institutes of Health. Its goal is to make available to investigators from all clinical disciplines the resources and environment that are necessary to facilitate the conduct of clinical research. The nursing staff is committed to facilitating interdisciplinary clinical investigation and providing comprehensive holistic care to a diverse age and medical/surgical population. The GCRC consists of a 10-bed inpatient wing and an outpatient wing. The unit contains a computer center, laboratory, processing area, dietary kitchen and staff, waiting area, registration area, exam rooms and one short stay procedure room.
