Ambulatory Care

Ambulatory Care (including MCV Physicians Faculty Practice Plan) services at the VCU Medical Center consist of a number of primary care and specialty programs at the downtown campus and in the surrounding communities. The mission of the ambulatory care programs is to provide quality primary and referral care to the region, participate in clinical research activities and provide support to the educational mission of the academic medical center. Individual departments within the VCU School of Medicine provide faculty, house staff and students to support the patient care activities in these sites. In addition, health care trainees from other schools such as Allied Health Professions, Dentistry, Nursing and Pharmacy participate in the educational programs at the ambulatory sites.
