Cardiology

Main 10 East Cardiology is a 28-bed telemetry unit providing care for patients with cardiovascular disease. These include patients with CAD (including those undergoing percutaneous coronary interventions), patients requiring evaluation and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias (including electrophysiology studies) and implantation of internal defibrillators and/or pacemakers) and heart failure patients who may require intravenous inotropic support. Care is provided by registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and care partners. Telemetry monitoring is provided continuously by cardiac monitor technicians.
