Medical Respiratory Intensive Care Unit

The Medical Respiratory Intensive Care Unit is a 12-bed unit specializing in the care of critically ill adult patients with non-surgical respiratory and/or medical disease.

Primary admission diagnoses include, but not limited to:

GI bleed,
respiratory failure,
drug overdose,
sepsis,
multi-system failure,
post-cardiopulmonary arrest,
serious acid base and electrolyte disturbances,
diabetic keto-acidosis and
significant acute compromise of kidney or liver failure.
