Ambulatory Post Anesthesia Care Unit

The Ambulatory Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is and outpatient care unit that consists of 26 pre and post anesthesia care spaces. The Ambulatory PACU provides care to age specific populations following surgical or therapeutic procedures for which anesthesia or sedation is required. Care Partners, Patient Service Representatives (PSR), and nursing Extern students all contribute to patient care.

Preference scheduling, an eight hour work day, and five day work wee, are an asset to recruitment and retention of skilled staff. The collaboration among the anesthesia providers, surgeons, and nursing staff also has a tremendous impact to the excellent care we provide.
