Upcoming in-person breast cancer talk

VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital provider shares his expertise on breast cancer. 

Dr. Nemer El Mouallem, Jr. Nemer El Mouallem Jr., M.D., a medical oncologist, is giving a talk on breast cancer on Oct. 19.

The American Cancer Society estimates around 298,000 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in women in the United States this year.

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the next edition of VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital’s Community Out-Reach Education (CORE) series will focus on breast cancer risk factors, early detection, symptoms and treatment. The in-person talk will be held on Oct. 19, 2023, from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.

The talk will be led by Nemer El Mouallem Jr., M.D., a medical oncologist at CMH Cancer and Specialty Care in South Hill. 

The CORE talk will be held in the C.A.R.E. Building in education classrooms 1113-1114, with snacks and water provided. The C.A.R.E. Building is located next to the hospital at 1755 N. Mecklenburg Avenue, in South Hill. Please let the front desk know you are there for a talk in the education classrooms.
