Grief & Loss Support Program

Grief & Loss Support Group

Throughout our lives, we all need help at one time or another.  This is especially true when we have suffered a loss.  During this time, we struggle to find understanding in our loss, even with the love and support of family and friends.  This is when having someone to connect with who has shared the experience of losing a loved one becomes a welcome support.

CMH Community Hospice of VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital is dedicated to helping you cope with grief and loss.  CMH Community Hospice will be hosting an eight week support program beginning April 3rd and going until May 22nd.   The program will be held at the R.T. Arnold Library in South Hill from 12:30 -1:30 p.m. each Wednesday.  Each week will have a different topic exploring each individuals grief experience such as “Understanding the Grief Experience”, “Handling Difficult Emotions”, “Caring for the Whole Self” and many more.

Registration is required by March 4th.  Please contact Allison Urda, BSW to register or for more information at (434) 447-0838.

CMH Community Hospice is a not-for-profit agency committed to caring for individuals dealing with chronic illness, facing the end of life or grieving the loss of loved ones.
