Karoly Kaszala, MD, PhD
A native of Hungary, Dr. Kaszala earned his MD and his PhD from Albert Szent-Gyorgyl Medical University in Szeged, Hungary. He completed his residency in internal medicine at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Bridgeport, Connecticut, in 2001. Dr. Kaszala received his fellowship training in cardiology from the University of Connecticut and in cardiac electrophysiology from Henry Ford Hospital and Vascular Institute in Detroit, Michigan. He joined the VCU Division of Cardiology in 2005 and is currently Director of Electrophysiology at McGuire VA Medical Center.
Dr. Kaszala has authored or co-authored over two dozen articles and abstracts that have been published in peer-reviewed journals in the United States and Europe. He has made more than two dozen presentations at scientific meetings throughout Europe and the United Kingdom. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association and the American Medical Association.
