In addition to the online resources listed below, there are a number of print resources available in the Community Health Education Center on diabetes purchased through funds provided by the Urban League of Richmond. CHEC is the designated Diabetes Learning Resource Center for the Urban League of Greater Richmond's Regional Health Training and Technical Assistance Center. Funding for this project was supplied through a seed grant from the National Urban League's "Lift Every Voice" diabetes education program. Using curriculum developed by the Diabetes Today National Training Center, this project focuses on improving the health outcomes of African-American adults living in inner city Richmond by providing consumer-level health information covering all aspects of diabetes and addressing the health literacy needs of the intended population.
